Lecturer in GIS and Big Data Analytics

The Department of Geography, Environment and Development Studies at Birkbeck College, University of London is looking to appoint a Lecturer in GIS and Big Data Analytics (at the grade of either Lecture A or B). The lecturer position is a permanent appointment subject to successful completion of probation (equivalent of a tenure-track position in the US).

Salary: Grade 7 (Lecturer A) which is £35,343 rising to £40,460 per annum inclusive of £3,066 London Allowance per annum or Grade 8 (Lecturer B) which is £41,577 rising to £49,020 per annum inclusive of £3,066 London Allowance per annum. The appointed lecturer will be expected to contribute to teaching and researching in the streams of GIS and big data analytics. He/she will join one of the department’s research clusters, Social and Spatial Inequalities or Environment and Sustainability and contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and academic administrative roles.
