The Southeastern Geographer, one of the premier regional geography journals in the United States, invites contributions from members of the AAG. The journal has published the academic work of geographers and other social and physical scientists since 1961. A substantive focus of the journal is to publish geographic research that engages with conditions and events in “the south”, broadly construed, as they relate to conditions and events that extend over broader geographical reaches. The journal serves as a forum for exploring the physical, social, cultural, economic, and political diversity and broad climate and ecosystem variability that links “the south” to processes, flows, and conditions that extend across the country, continent and globe. We would like to encourage colleagues working in the general area of “GIS research” to consider submitting manuscripts to Southeastern Geographer.
The journal also publishes approximately one special issue per year, and welcomes proposals for thematically or conceptually coherent special issues.
