Visiting Instructor position in GIScience

FLORIDA, TAMPA. The School of Geosciences at the University of South Florida invites applications for a nine-month Visiting Instructor position in GIScience. The appointment would begin early August, 2015. Responsibilities will include teaching both general and applied GIS courses at the senior undergraduate and graduate levels, including courses in our Graduate GIS Certificate Program, as well as possibly lower-level general geography courses such as World Regional Geography and Human or Environmental Geography. Minimum qualifications are a Ph.D. in Geography or a related discipline by the time of appointment, and evidence of the necessary academic background and skills to teach GIScience at the stated levels. Preferred qualifications include primary instructor experience with college-level GIScience courses, and teaching interests in lower-level undergraduate Human, Environmental, and Regional Geography courses.
